Nokia Lumia 610 has been launched in India for Rs. 12,999 along with a special edition Lumia 800 called the Dark Knight Rises for Rs. 24,999. The special edition (SE) Lumia 800 has the Batman ‘Bat logo’ at the back side and loaded with Dark Knight Theme, Wallpapers and MP3’s.

Specification wise this SE Lumia 800 is similar to the existing 800 model, it is just the batman theme that makes it special. This handset runs on Windows Phone 7 OS over a 1.4GHz processor with 512 MB RAM. The full touchscreen display is 3.7 inches with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. Other key feature is the 8MP camera with HD recording @ 720p.

The Nokia 610 on the other hand also sports a 3.7 inch screen with 800×480 resolution. However being a low cost entry level handset it is powered by an 800MHz processor with just 256MB RAM. This phone comes with 5MP camera with 720p video recording with many camera modes. The 610 runs on Tango OS (Windows phone 7.0 series). This handset comes with 8GB internal storage. The tango OS can comfortably run on this low powered CPU with 256MB memory.

Android powered phones still rule not only in terms of features but also the price. We will have to see if Nokia can bring the price further down and get more competitive.
