The awaited Lumia 1520 has finally been unveiled. The Nokia Lumia 1520 is a 6 inch Phablet with full HD resolution powered by 2.2 GHz quad core processor and comes with 20MP PureView camera. This handset is priced at $749, in Indian it could be priced well over Rs. 45,000.
The Lumia 1520 is powered by 2.2 GHz quad core processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 800). The handset weighs about 209 grams and is 8.7mm thick. The clearblack IPS LCD screen is 15.24cm i.e. 6 inches supporting resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The screen is with Gorilla Glass 2 protection, with high brightness mode, 16M colors, pixel density of 368ppi and wide viewing angle.
The Nokia Lumia 1520 house a single Nano SIM that supports the 4G, 3G and 2G networks. Handset runs on Microsoft windows phone 8 (Amber) OS with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. There is micro SD slot that can house cards of up to 64GB. Users also get access to 7GB free cloud storage.
There are dual cameras a secondary 2MP camera and primary camera of 20MP (PureView) with Zeiss Optics lens. The rear camera comes with dual LED flash. Camera features are 6 lens optics, 2x high resolution zoom, optical image stabilization and full auto-focus mode. Full HD video recording at 30fps is supported.
Other features included are Wi-Fi (a/b/g/n), Bluetooth, micro USB, NFC and GPS with A-GPS /GLONASS. A non-removable battery of 3400 mAh capacity gives talk-time of up to 25 hours on 3G and standby time of up to 32 days.
Nokia is also planning to launch Lumia 1320 which will be cheaper than the Lumia 1520 model. No word as to when this handset will hit the Indian markets.
