Mobile users in India seem to like the touch and type feature and since the Nokia X3-02 and X3-01 mobile phones did exceptionally well most new phones that are launched by Nokia continue offering this feature. The Nokia C2-03 is a touch and type phone you can input data using the resistive touch screen and / or with the alphanumeric keypad.

Display and Design

The Nokia C2-03 dual SIM phone sports a 2.6 inch TFT resistive touch screen. The maximum resolution supported is 240 by 320 pixels (QVGA) with 65K colours. You can use the screen to input data as well use the keypad or a combination of both which increases speed and is fun to do so.

The Nokia C2-03 phone is of dimension 103×51.4×17 mm and weighs 115 grams. The keypad nicely hides beneath the body. Just below the touch screen there are two dedicated buttons one for receiving call and other for close call/cancel call/ Power down. Other phone menu options can be accessed using the touch feature or simply slide the phone to reveal the alphanumeric keypad.

This handset comes with 10 Mb of internal memory and supports 32 GB of microSD / SDHC cards (Hot Swappable).

Camera

This handset houses a 2 megapixel camera without flash, well actually you do not really need any flash with such a low quality camera. The camera is just ok, images taken will look good on the computer screen but you need at least 3 megapixel resolutions to print good quality 4 x 6 inch photos. You can record videos in QCIF format at 15 fps. This Nokia phone gives you an option to share photos and videos with your social networks.

Connectivity

Nokia C2-03 is not a 3G phone you can however surf the net using GPRS and EDGE using the Nokia Web Browser that comes pre-loaded. This phone supports Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and WAP 2.0. USB 2.0 is also supported.  You can check your twitter and Facebook status from the same view and you can even update them.  There is a 3.5 mm audio jack for connecting headset and a 2 mm connector for connecting the phone charger.

Entertainment

The Nokia C2-03 can play MP3, WAV, AAC, AMR and MIDI audio files and you can also watch videos (MPEG4, H.263, H.264 format) in 240 x 320 resolutions. Listen to live radio on the move using the built in FM radio and if you like any song you can even record it.

Games like Solitaire, Memorize, picture puzzle, Golf Tour and Nature Park comes pre-loaded.

Maps

Nokia Maps comes preloaded but is available in selected countries. You will need to check if the Nokia C2-03 box pack does say so. Nokia C2-03 does not come with a built in GPS but the Maps work using network based location information.

The SIM 2 is hot swappable which means you can change the SIM number 2 without having to switch off the phone.

Nokia C2-03 Battery

The C2-03 phones comes with 1020 mAh Li-Ion BL-5C battery which gives a decent talk time of 5 hours maximum and standby time of max 400 hours. You can play music continuously with loudspeaker for 24 hours and up to 37 hours with headset.
