We knew about Nokia’s plan to expand the Asha family with three new models namely the Asha 305, Asha 306 and Asha 311. These handsets will be launched tomorrow and within few days will be available in the market.
Nokia Asha 305
This is a dual SIM phone with 98 grams weight and 12.8mm thickness. The Asha 305 is a basic phone without 3G, however EDGE and GPRS networks are available. The display screen is 3 inches with resistive technology supporting 400×240 pixels resolution with 56K colours @155 ppi. This is not a very high quality, so don’t fall in for the 400p resolution.
Other features are RAM – 32MB, ROM – 64MB, internal storage – 10MB, 2MP camera, accelerometer, FM radio, Bluetooth, micro USB, SNS enabled and downloadable games. The 1100 mAh battery gives standby time of about 528 hours and talktime of up to 14 hours.

Nokia Asha 306
The Asha 306 is similar to the 305 model and if you place the handset next to each other you can hardly spot the difference. The 306 will however be a bit costlier than the 305 model because it comes with one feature which is missing on the Nokia Asha 305 and i.e the built in Wi-Fi.
OS : S40 and price will be little more than Nokia 305.
Nokia Asha 311
This handset also looks similar to the 305 and 306 model but it has a curved bottom which makes it stand apart. This is a slightly high end model running on S40 OS. The capacitive touchscreen display is 3 inches with 400×240 pixels resolution, 56K colour and 155ppi. Multi touch is supported and the screen comes with Corning Gorilla Glass for added protection.
Other features are RAM – 128MB, ROM – 256MB, Internal storage – 140MB, 3G (14.4 – HSDPA) , 2G (E/G), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, proximity / accelerometer sensor, FM radio, miro USB and SNS integrated.
This handset is 12.9mm thin and weighs about 95 grams. The 311 comes with 3.15 MP camera and a 1GHz processor. This one too is powered by an 1110 mAh battery with standby time of 768 hours and talktime of up to 6 hours on 3G network.
