Nokia Asha 503, another handset belonging to the Asha 50x series is now available in India for Rs. 6,550. The specifications are almost similar to the Nokia Asha 502, however the 503 supports 3G and with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

The key feature on the Asha 503 is the 3G support that is missing on the Asha 500, Asha 501 and Asha 502. Look wise the 503 is similar to the other 50x models. The 503 weighs about 111 grams and is 11.1mm thick.

The touchscreen is 3 inches supporting 320×240 pixels resolution with 2 point multi touch. There are accelerometer and proximity sensors. The Nokia Asha 503 runs on Asha platform 1.2.  There is a single fixed focus camera of 5 megapixels resolution with LED flash placed on the rear. Flash range is 1 meter. The rear camera can record videos in QVGA resolution at 26fps.

On board internal memory is 128MB and 32GB external micro SD card is also supported. Key features are 3G (7.2Mbps), 2G, Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 3.0 and micro USB 2.0. There is no built in GPS but users can get approx location using Cellular and Wi-Fi positioning (not very accurate).

A 1200 mAh (BL-4U) battery gives talk time of up to 5 hours on 3G, 12 hours on 2G and estimated music playback time is around 35 hours. Nokia Asha 503 with 3G support is now available on Infibeam for Rs. 6,550.
