Nokia will soon launch the Asha 230 handset the most affordable touch phone. 230 looks similar to the Nokia Asha 501 with Curvier edges. It is a quad band handset with 2G support and houses dual SIM slots.

The Nokia Asha 230 comes with a TFT capacitive touchscreen of size 2.8 inches with resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Handset is light weight at 89 grams and is of dimensions 58.6 x 99.5 x 13.2mm. There is internal RAM of 64MB and a micro SD card slot that can add up to 32GB external storage.

This handset runs on the Nokia Asha Platform 1.1.1. The Asha 230 also includes a 1.3Mp camera on the rear (no LED flash). There is no front camera. There is accelerometer and proximity sensors. Key features are 2G (EDGE – 236kbps, GPRS – 42.8kbps), Bluetooth 3.0 and micro USB. Guess what – this is the most affordable touch phone and for that reason the WiFi module is missing.
