Nokia had recently announced two new handsets the Nokia 720 and the Nokia 520 that will run on the Microsoft Windows 8 OS and will come for an affordable price tag. These handsets were unveiled at the MWC (Mobile World Congress 2013).

Nokia Lumia 720
This Lumia handset as mentioned will sail on the WP8 (Windows Phone 8) OS. The Nokia 720 is powered by 1GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor (Adreno 305 GPU) with 512MB RAM and 8GB internal storage. There is microSD slot with 64GB card supported; you also get 7GB cloud storage.

The IPS clear black display is 4.3 inches with resolution 800×480 pixels (217ppi) with corning gorilla glass 2 protection. Other features are Bluetooth 3, USB 2, 3G, 2G(class B), NFC, GPS and Wi-Fi. There is a front camera of 1.3MP resolution and another camera on the rear side with 6.7MP resolution (carl zeiss lens / Auto Focus) with LED flash capable of recording videos in 720p resolution at 30fps.

A non-removable battery of 2000 mAh gives talktime of over 10 hours and standby time of up to 21 days.

Nokia Lumia 720

This handset is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor (Qualcomm MSM8227) with Adreno 305 GPU. The Nokia 520 runs on WP8 with 512MB RAM and 8GB internal storage and micro SD support up to 64GB.

The IPS scratch resistant screen is 4 inches supporting a resolution of 800×480 pixels. This model comes with 5MP auto focus camera with 720p video recording at 30fps. There is no front camera.

Other features are 3G, 2G( class B), Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 3, 3.5mm jack and micro USB. The removable battery is of 1430 mAh capacity with 15 days standby and up to 9 hours of talktime.
