Guys at the mynokiablog have revealed that Nokia may soon come up with 3 new handsets running on the so called Meltemi OS. The handsets namely Nokia 311, 306 and 305 will feature touchscreen display with a relatively new OS – a mix of the MeeGo and the S40.
I am not sure if consumers will be excited about these models, there are many android handsets and especially the Micromax A50 which seems to be the best low cost choice (for now), these Nokia models will find it hard to survive unless they turn out to be really competitive, price wise.
The best low cost android phone comes for about 4990 and if Nokia can bring the price below that we could see some competition. What we know about the handsets is that the 305 (dual SIM) and 306 (single SIM) will be low end models with 2 MP camera.
The 311 on the other hand will support 3G, Wi-Fi and will sport a 3.2 MP camera. The phone has got a nice design and impressive looks. You can view the images on the mynokiablog site.
Well that’s it for now, more coverage on these new models once they hit the Indian markets. When will these models be launched, we have no idea, but stay tuned for more updates.
