Now if you want to enjoy the purpose of a phone let’s get back to the basic. The Nokia 103 takes you back from where it began. Yes a pure basic phone with lots of ‘no’ and a few ‘yes’ features. The body is well built with large alpha numeric keypad.

Okay before we go through the speciation’s let me make it clear that this phone of for those who want to use it as phone with most hi-end features erased. All that they want is a good battery life and an easy to use interface.

Nokia 103 features

This is a single SIM phone with 15.3 mm thickness and a weight of 76.6 grams. The Monochrome graphic 1.36 inch screen, yes it’s a small screen, supports 96 by 68 pixels resolution at 87 ppi. Pure simple, Pure basic.

The 103 comes with dust proof keypad and a scratch proof cover. This Nokia handset is available in Blue / Orange colour.  Here is the list of features you will find on the 103 handset built in FM (stereo) radio, Games, 3.5 mm jack and Flash light. Well that’s it.

This phone does not support EDGE/ GPRS networks, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, GPS and JAVA. As I mentioned before this is in true sense a real basic phone and yes it also does not come with built in camera. The 800 mAh Li-ion battery (BL – 5CB) gives a talktime of up to 11 hours and a standby time of up to 27 days.

Nokia 103 will hit the markets in 2nd quarter in 2012, price details are not available but it is selling at EUR 16 in Finland which could mean that the handset price in India will be under Rs. 1,500.
