Nikon D800 DSLR and the enhanced model the D800E DSLR will now be available in India for a price of Rs. 1,50,000 and Rs. 1,65,000. These are high end professional camera with 36.3 megapixel resolution.
You can check out my previous article on the Nikon D800. The D800E is basically made for landscape and studio photography. This DSLR is especially optimized for NEF RAW file capture with low pass filter with anti aliasing removed. The effective megapixel resolution is 36.3 MP.
Nikon D800E DSLR features
This digital SLR camera weighs about 1000 grams (body only without lens) with dimension 144.78 x 121.92 x 81.28 mm. This DSLR comes with interchangeable lenses that will cost you extra.
File format supports are JPEG, TIFF and RAW for still images and MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 and MOV for movies. SD, SDHC, SDXC and Compact Flash card is supported. This DSLR comes with 51 auto focus point. You can either get the focus to auto or manual mode. You can choose from continuous servo AF, Focus lock AF area mode and Single Servo AF.
The D800E comes with a 3.2 inch LCD display with live view and pentaprism viewfinder. ISO sensitivity options are from 100-6400 (High Sensitivity Mode: 50-25600). There is a built in flash with red eye reduction with several sync options.
