After launching the Mi TV 2 sporting a 49 inch screen and supporting 4K resolution, Xiaomi, today launched a 40 inch Mi TV 2 that supports 1080p resolution. The new Mi TV 2 is priced at CNY 1999 (approx Rs. 20,000).

The new Mi TV 2 as mentioned sports a 40 inch Full HD LED screen (Sharp SDP X-Gen panel) and it is powered by cortex A9, 1.4GHz MStar 6A908 quad core processor coupled with Mali 450 MP4 GPU. This TV is running MiUi TV OS (based on android 4.4 upgrade able to Android 5.0).

This TV will give you a personal cinema like experience with 5000:1 contrast ratio, LED back-light. Key features are 1.5GB DDR3 RAM, 8GB eMMC flash, Dolby MS12, surround sound, H.265 10bit hardware decoding, 1920 x 1080p playback and (Real, MPEG4 and H.265/264) video decoding supported. This Mi TV can also play MP4, AVI, MOV, RM, FLV, TS and MKV file formats.

The New Mi TV 2 with a 40 inch screen supporting 1080p resolution will be available in China from 31st March 2015 for CNY 1999. Xiaomi has yet to launch the Mi TV’s in India.
