Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi version (32 GB) that was priced at about Rs. 38,000 is now available for as low as Rs. 21,500. The Motorola Xoom 3G + Wi-Fi version (32 GB) is now available for just Rs. 25,000. Call it the Aakash effect some branded tablets have already started dropping the price, it started off with the BlackBerry Playbook Wi-Fi version for Rs. 13,490.

Despite the price drop the tablets are way from the reach of many Indian consumers. The other reason is that that many are looking for the Aakash tablet which still rules – price wise.

The Xoom Wi-Fi only version is waste of money, if you are interested in buying this tablet go for the 3G + Wi-Fi version this will add mobile functionality into it plus the power of 3G high speed internet on the move. The Motorola Xoom comes with a 10.1 inch capacitive touch screen and powered by 1 GHz Dual Core processor. This tablet runs on the Honeycomb OS (Android 3.1).

Reasons to buy the Motorola Xoom Tablet

Powerful processor running the Android 3.1 OS and Wi-Fi and 3G support. There are two versions one with Wi-Fi support and other with Wi-Fi + 3G support, I would go with the 3G + Wi-Fi version.
