Motorola has launched a new smartphone in the droid series it is called the Motorola Droid Turbo. This is a quad core powered handset that sports a Quad HD screen starting from $199.99 with contract (Verizon US).

The Droid Turbo sports a 5.2 inch screen with Quad HD (QHD) i.e. 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution with corning gorilla glass 3 protection. This handset will be competing with other QHD handsets available in the markets. It runs Android 4.4.4 out of the box with 3GB RAM (with 64bit access) and 32GB built in storage. Turbo will also be available in 64GB version.

It houses the 2.7GHz APQ8084 qualcomm snapdragon 805 with Adreno 420 GPU clocked at 600Mhz. Smartphone weight is about 176 grams. The camera is really cool, it is a 21MP on the rear with f2.0 aperture with dual LED flash. Front camera is 2MP. Rear camera can shoot 4K videos and slow motion 720p videos.

Droid Turbo with a single nano SIM supports 4G, 3G, 2G, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The built in battery is 3900 mAh capacity that gives normal usage time of about 2 days and comes with turbo charging technology. A 15 minutes charge will give you an estimated 8 hours of mixed usage.
