Get ready for the Moto X that will soon hit the Indian markets. The Moto G was a huge success for Motorola and now they will be launching the Moto X that has got the same look and feel but loaded with dual core hardware and some unique features.
They will launch the handset within few weeks, and yes it will be a dual SIM version. As of now the handset is available in the US. The key highlight about the Moto X is that it can be operated without having to touch the handset –voice based – no touch required. Just say the magic words and get the work done, this voice feature is always on so you really don’t need to switch on the handset.
The handset sports a 4.7 inch AMOLED screen with corning gorilla glass 3 protection and supporting 720p resolution. Though the official website says it will be running on Android 4.2.2 but I think they will get it running on the Android 4.4. RAM is 2GB and optional 16/32 GB storage – without external card support but you will get access to 50 GB storage on Google Drive free for 2 years.
Unlike the Moto G that comes powered by quad core processor the Moto X is powered by 1.7 GHz Krait dual core Qualcomm MSM8960 Pro Snapdragon chipset with Adreno 320 GPU.
Weight is 130 grams and the body comes with water repellent coating. Other common features are 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The US version also supported 4G but not sure if the Indian version will support 4G.
The Moto X will come with 10MP rear AF camera (Clear Pixel) with quick capture, unique twist and take option and LED flash support. It will be able to record full HD videos plus a front camera of 2MP that can also record 1080p videos. The battery (non-removable I guess) is 2200 mAh capacity.
No word about the price but you can expect it to cost more than the Moto G.
