Moto G9 Power Review – 6000 mAh battery, 64MP camera and Snapdragon powered

The new Moto G9 Power could be the perfect smartphones that comes packed with a massive battery and a 64MP camera, plus it is Qualcomm Snapdragon powered but wait, it is priced at just Rs. 11,999.

Moto G9 Power Unboxing

Inside the box : Handset covered with removable silicon case, user manual, warranty card, usb TYPE C port, 20W fast charger inside the box and SIM ejector pin.

G9 Power Design

This looks sturdy and premium, the special texture on the rear not only prevents finger prints impression on the back, but also gives a really good grip. Weight is around 221 grams with 6000 mAh massive battery. Handset is 9.7mm thick.

Key Specs

6.8” HD+ IPS LCD now this is good for viewing videos and for gaming, though most would want a FHD+ resolution but the difference is not much and many would hardly notice the same. The screen quality and touch response are good and screen is viewable under sunlight.

The Moto G9 Power is packed with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, the ROM as per the test delivers 318 MB/s rear and 205 MB/s write speed. Though there is good RAM / ROM the G9 Power comes with a hybrid slot so no dedicated slot.

This should not a be a problem for many since 64GB is good storage but in case you are a person using 2 SIM and a micro SD card and cannot do away with any of these then this Motorola G9 Power is not for you.

Moto G9 Power Camera

On the back there is 64MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture coupled with 2MP + 2MP depth and macro camera. Front Camera is 16MP. Do check the camera samples in the video listed below. Camera quality is excellent given the price.

Performance, Benchmark

Inside the hood the Motorola G9 Power comes packed with Qualcomm snapdragon 662 octa core processor that is good for normal and mid-level users. You can play games and Call of Duty Game played well – check the video below to see it in action. I played the game for about 52 minutes battery drop was 11%.

No Heat-up During gameplay and charging – max battery temp that I encountered was 36 degrees.

Other unique features

You get a lot more on the Moto G9 Power smartphone – dual band Wi-Fi, Built in NFC (that most brands do not offer), Multi View and stock android experience.

Stock Android

Many hate stock Android experience for it being too simple but eventually many have started liking the Stock experience for the fact that there are no ads. But on Moto G9 Power there is My UX that offers some bit of customisation so you can change the look and feel with stock android experience.

Battery Charging and Discharge Test

The 6000 mAh battery no doubt will give you a really good battery performance, an easy 3 days with mixed normal usage. Today many users are watching content and for that a bigger screen and a massive battery plays an important role.

I played COD for 52 minutes battery drop was 11% and max Battery temp was 36 degrees. So you can play COD game (call of duty) for almost 5 to 6 hours non stop.

The 20W turbo charger I used to charge the 6000 mAh battery and here are the results. It took me 2 hours 23 minutes to charge from 19% to 100%, max battery temperature was 34 degrees.

Verdict

A perfect smartphone that fill in all the blanks, be it display, battery, camera and looks all these for a price of just Rs. 11,999.
