At MWC 2015 Microsoft announced the Microsoft Lumia 640 and the 640 XL handset starting from EUR 139 onwards. The 640 will hit the stores in April with 4G and 3G versions. The 640 XL will be made available from March staring from EUR 189.

The Microsoft India website has already listed the Lumia 640 XL and Lumia 640 handsets. The Lumia 640 is dual SIM smartphone that sports a 5 inch clearblack IPS LCD screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The handset is powered by 1.2GHz qualcomm snapdragon 400 quad core processor.

Lumia 640 is running Windows Phone 8.1 (+Lumia Denim) with 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and 128GB micro SD card support. The handset comes packed with 8MP rear AF camera with flash and a 0.9MP front camera. Key features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. The 640 gets power from 2500 mAh battery that gives talk time of up to 20 hours on 3G networks.

Lumia 640 XL is listed in both dual SIM 3G and dual SIM 4G LTE variants. The specifications are almost the same except for few changes i.e 4G /3G and the battery capacity. The 640 XL sports a 5.7 inch clearblack LCD IPS screen with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) resolution.

It is running WP 8.1 with 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and 128GB external card support. This handset is powered by qualcomm snapdragon 400 quad core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. A 13MP auto focus camera with ZEISS optics is placed on the rear with LED flash support and there is a front camera of 5MP resolution.

Key features are 4G or 3G – depending on variant, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. The 4G version comes with a 3120 mAh battery and the 3G version comes with 3000 mAh battery.

The Microsoft Lumia 640 and the 640 XL will hit the stores soon, stay tuned.
