The Micromax A350 also called the Canvas Knight has been in the news for quite some time. After its launch the handset was not easily available in the Indian markets, it was then priced at under Rs. 20,000.
The Knight A350 – in the new once again, this time for its price – it jumped from Rs. 19,000 to over Rs. 23,000. Some online stores are also selling it for a whooping price of Rs. 26,999. I am not sure what caused the huge spike in its price.
There are Octa Core powered handsets available for under Rs. 20,000. The Micromax Canvas Knight A350 uses a Turbo version of MT6592 octa core chipset clocked at 2GHz with Mali 450 GPU. Initially there was a lot of confusion whether it was 1.7GHz or 2GHz, it is now confirmed.
On the hardware front the Micromax A350 sports with a 5 inch IPS screen supporting 1920 x 1080p resolution. It is powered by MT6592T 2GHz octa core processor running Android 4.2.2 with 2GB DDR2 RAM and 32GB storage (25GB user available space and 1.5GB for apps). There is no micro SD slot.
The handset comes loaded with light, accelerometer, gyro, proximity and magnetic sensors. A 16MP AF camera is placed on the rear with LED flash and there is a front camera of 8MP resolution, it is fixed focus. FHD video recording in 3GP format is supported.
Important features are 3G (HSPA), 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Yamaha Amplifier and Bluetooth. This dual SIM (Micro SIM) handset comes with 2350 mAh battery with up to 7 hours of talk time.
Even though the MMX A350 comes with 2GHz octa core processor and as of now it is the only handset using the turbo chipset, but still the price between Rs. 23,000 to Rs. 27,000 is just too much.
Interestingly the Micromaxestore still has the Knight listed for Rs. 19,999 unfortunately it says out of stock, probably they don’t have the stock and hence not updated the price tag.
Micromax Canvas Knight A350 current price is (approx) Rs. 25,000.
