Micromax has launched the Canvas Hue that comes powered by the commonly used 1.3GHz quad core processor but with super power saving mode, the company claims the handset can last for up to a month (standby) on a single charge.

The Micromax Canvas Hue houses the MediaTek MT6582 quad core chipset clocked at 1.3Ghz with Mail 400 MP GPU. This dual SIM handset sports a 5 inch AMOLED screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.

It is running Android KitKat 4.4.2 with 1Gigs of RAM and 8GB of storage. Of the 8GB users will get about 5GB space for apps. There is micro SD card slot that supports 32GB external cards. Here are the list of sensors – accelerometer, magnetic, light and proximity.

The Canvas Hue also includes an 8MP auto focus camera placed on the back with LED flash and a 2MP fixed focus camera is placed on the front. Rear camera can shoot 720p videos. Key features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. The 3000 mAh battery that the Hue gets power from gives talk time of up to 9 hours.

Micromax Canvas Hue with super power saving mode

As already mentioned the key attraction is the super power saving mode that when enabled will deliver up to 1 month of battery backup (standby mode), it is something similar to ultra power saving mode as seen on the Samsung Galaxy premium handsets.

The Micromax Canvas Hue will hit the stores soon for Rs. 10,999.
