Micromax has re-launched the Bolt A69, they call it the Micromax Bolt A069. The A069 runs on KitKat out of the box and is powered by 1.3GHz dual core processor. Apart from the Android 4.4, 20 regional language support there is nothing much left to talk about, rest of the specs are too much downgraded considering the price tag.

Micromax Bolt A069 box pack contains the handset, screen guard, 1800 mAh battery, mad app guide, reverie phone book guide, warranty card, user guide, travel charger, data cable and standard quality earphone.

Design, Display and OS
The key highlight is the OS i.e Android Kitkat. Design wise, Micromax has incorporated the Canvas Colours 2 looks to some extent, though the Colours 2 still looks slimmer and much better. The back cover with matte finish covers up almost 80% of the handset. Build quality is good. Sar value : 0.33 W/kg @ 1g head and 0.52 W/kg @1g body.

Power button is on the left, volume rockers on the right and 3.5mm audio jack and the micro USB port on the top. Handset is bulky with a weight of 172 grams with battery and is 9.90 mm thick.

Others
This is a dual SIM handset you need 2 normal SIM’s. Bolt A069 supports 20 Indian regional languages. The language option are available when using the keyboard. Speaker sound is loud. Micromax Mad and reverie phonebook apps comes pre-installed.

Battery
There is 1800 mAh battery. I used the handset for 22 minutes battery dropped by 8% and then ran a video in a loop for about 26 minutes, battery dropped by 9% and when I played the games for about 18 minutes battery dropped by 10%.

With moderate usage you can expected battery life of 4 to 5 hours and when playing high end games it will be up to 3 hours or a little more.

Verdict
For the price of Rs. 5,699 the Micromax Bolt A069 is not a good buy. A069 does not support 3G, so you are left with 2G option only,  it’s dual core and the cameras are fixed focus. It would be wise to invest a little extra and go for the Unite 2.
