After Micromax A110, the Micromax A90S Superfone pixel (dual core) now shows up on the lalajionline.com website with a price tag of Rs. 12,999. Do note that another model called Micromax A90i also presumed to be a dual core of A90 was listed recently on the ebay site for Rs. 13,999.

There is no confirmation if both of these models genuinely exist.  However the A90S is also listed on the Micromax SAR page which might be the next A90. We do know that the A90 will be a dual core and both the models the “i” and the “S” are indeed dual core but with unconfirmed specifications.

The specs as listed on the Lalajionline.com website stats that the A90S is dual core – MediaTek MT6577 1 GHz Cortex A9 probably with PowerVR Series5 SGX GPU. The handset runs on Android ICS and supports 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and micro USB.

The RAM is 512MB and internal storage is 4GB along with micro SD card support of up to 32GB. The screen is 4.3 inches capacitive, AMOLED with 800×480 pixels resolution. The thickness is 9.8 mm. There is 8MP rear camera and a front 0.3MP camera. The battery is of 1600 mAh capacity with around 7 days of standby and over a day of moderate usage.

Dual core Micromax A90s superfone pixel

If you compare the Micromax A90S with Micromax A90 the only difference is the dual core and single core, rest of the features are the same.  The price however is interesting, the same as the single core (the single core price may have been reduced by a few hundred). No surprises as we have seen a minor price difference between single core A100 and dual core A110. I hope there is a good difference in the benchmark score.
