The Micromax A90 Superfone Pixel handset that is currently available on the Micromax info website comes with what Micromax calls the Powercore processor clocked at 1GHz. Do not confuse it with a dual core; this is a single core processor.

I called up Ncarry who are selling the Micromax A90 for Rs. 12,990 and they confirmed that this is with a single core processor. There is still a lot of confusion because the processor core is not mentioned on the Micromax website. Moreover the Micromax Facebook page has mentioned that the dual core models will be released in September.

I still have no clue about the internal storage, which I believe should be at least 4GB, however when I called Ncarry regarding A90 query they said it has no internal storage, well it has to I guess they do not have info on this and if the internal storage is less or similar to Micromax A100 then it’s no good buying this phone.

A90 dual-core to launch by end of September or in October.

Rs. 13,000 for an Amoled screen, 8 MP AF camera and no clue about the internal storage. The Micromax A100 seems to be the best option for now and stay away from the A90 for two reasons one – the price seems too high and second some specs are still not clear.

The Micromax A90 dual core version is expected to be launched in September / October and I believe the price will be about Rs. 2K to 4K extra (for dual core). It would be worthwhile to wait for what Spice and Karbonn comes up with.

Micromax A90 single core

My A90 order is In Transit, I would have cancelled it had the status not updated, however since it’s already dispatched I will do the review on Micromax A90 (single core) version. Stay tuned.
