Micromax has added a new phone to its existing canvas series, presenting the Micromax A88 Canvas Music smartphone. The A88 was fist showcased last month in Mumbai at the Micromax – MTV Music Awards.

The A88 handset sports a 4.5 inch (854×480 pixels) touchscreen running Jelly Bean OS. It is powered by a dual core processor –MediaTek. There is 5MP camera on the rear side with flash and a VGA camera on the front. HD video recording supported. The handset comes with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage.

A88 supports 3G, 2G, Bluetooth 4, GPS and comes with micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack. Micromax Canvas Music A88 houses a 1800 mAh battery that gives a usage time of up to 5 hours and standby time of up to 260 hours.

The handset is available for Rs. 8,499 and comes with free JBL headphones (pre-bundled). Add to it, you also get access to about 3 lakh songs via MLive absolutely free.  The A88 is available in Midnight black and pear white colours and accordingly as per you color choice similar colored headphones are included. Micromax had recently launched the Doodle handset,  we could probably see some more new handset by end of this month.
