After the success of Micromax Superfone A85 and the dual SIM Superfone Lite A75, Micromax is gearing up to launch another version the Superfone A78 a touch and type dual SIM android powered smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard.
The A78 Superfone specification is on the lighter side which I presume will help make it more affordable. The touch and type handset comes powered by a moderate 650 MHz processor running Gingerbread OS (Android 2.3).
The touchscreen capacitive display is 3.5 inches and there is a QWERTY keyboard immediately following the display screen. The input combination helps type faster, perfect for those who have made Facebook or other social networks a part of their life.
This Superfone supports dual SIM with 3G and comes with Wi-Fi, built in GPS, microUSB port, Bluetooth 3.0, sensors, microSD support and pre-loaded apps like Facebook, Quikr etc. these along with the Google apps that come loaded by default on any android OS.
There are 2 cameras a front facing VGA and a fixed focus rear facing with 3 MP resolution. Camera features are 4 X zoom and LED flash. This handset is 10.9 mm thick and houses a 1300 mAh battery.
This Micromax handset is expected to be in Indian markets by end of March with a price band of under Rs. 8,500.
