Lava Mobiles have launched a dual SIM 5 inch android phone with Jelly Bean OS with 1GB RAM for a price of Rs. 13,999. The key highlight is the 1280×720 pixels resolution and 8MP camera.
For the same price you can get the Micromax Canvas HD A116. So what is the difference between these two handsets? Let’s find out.
The lava Xolo A1000
The screen is 5 inches with 1280×720 pixels resolution, 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage with micro SD support. There is 8MP rear camera and a 1.2MP front camera. The handset is powered by a 1GHz Dual core MediaTek processor (MT6577) the same that powered the Micromax A110. Battery is 2100 mAh capacity.
The Micromax A116
This again comes with a 5 inch screen with 1280×720 pixels resolution, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage and microSD support. There is 8MP camera and a front 2MP camera. The A116 is powered by a quad core processor. The battery is of 2000 mAh capacity.
The A116 or the Xolo A1000?
I have already done the review of A116 and we know the full capabilities of this handset. The Micromax A116 is definitely the best options, for the following reasons – do note the price of both the handsets is the same.
- Its quad core!. – The A1000 is dual core.
- The 8MP camera can shoot videos in 1080p resolution. – The A1000 can record only up to 720p resolution.
- The A116 can play full HD (1080p) videos. The A1000 can play only up to 720p resolution.
The A1000 comes with a slightly higher battery capacity 2100 mAh as compared to 2000 on A116, but that will hardly matter. So in all it makes sense to go for the Canvas HD.
