Micromax had unveiled their plan to launch a 4G device in India. It could happen pretty soon. The Micromax 4G phone (image) has already been leaked on Twitter via Leakster. The handset is re-branded Wiko Wax.

The Wiko Wax was the first smartphone powered by Tegra 4i quad core chipset with 4G LTE support. Most likely the Micromax’s first 4G handset will be the Wiko Wax (re-branded). If you check the images below both the handsets are the same.

Assuming that the MMX 4G will be the Wax the specifications are already known. On the hardware front it is using the quad core Cortex A9 1.7GHz Tegra 4i chipset running Android OS 4.3 with 1GB RAM and 4GB storage. There is micro SD card support too (32GB).

The screen is of a smaller size, 4.7 inches with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution and it does come with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection. The single SIM (micro SIM) handset also includes a 5MP camera on the front and an 8MP AF on the rear with LED flash.

Key features are 4G, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The handset weight is just 119 grams and comes with 2000 mAh battery. Well this the specifications of Wiko Wax and probably the 4G handset from Micromax could be the same. However there is no official confirmation, yet.
