The Mi Mouse is a unique wireless mouse that supports dual modes i.e. you can use Bluetooth as well as USB receiver. This mouse is not available on Mi India website but you can buy it online from international stores for $19.99 (approx Rs. 1400).
Unboxing and Design
The Mi box box pack contains the mouse, user manual and USB receiver that you will find inside the mouse. This mouse is compact using silver and white color combination. Looks great and premium.
This is a wireless mouse that gets power from 2 AAA batteries. When you open up the battery compartment you will find a USB receiver – you need to remove and connect (insert into USB port) on your desktop / laptop. This is a 2.4GHz WiFi receiver that works with the mouse.
On the bottom there is on / off switch and a single button to switch between 2.4GHz and Bluetooth. When in 2.4GHz mode the LED will turn green and when in Bluetooth mode the LED will show blue. When using Bluetooth mode you need to pair the mouse with other Bluetooth devices, to do that press and hold the button (check video review).
So for example you can connect USB receiver on your desktop and use Bluetooth on your laptop. Using the button you can easily switch between desktop and laptop and use the same mouse.
I also tested this mouse on smartphones – connected using Bluetooth, it worked.
Verdict
A very good portable dual mode wireless mouse that comes with an affordable price tag. A very good buy for $19.99 (approx Rs. 1,400).
