Xiaomi had launched the Mi Air Purifier 2 in India with a price tag of Rs. 9,999. The first sale will begin at 12PM today from Mi.com website. Xiaomi claims that this air purifier will clean a small room in just about 10 minutes.
This Mi Air Purifier sucks air, purifies it and blows fresh air from the top vent. It’s child safe and takes just about 10 minutes to clean a 400 sq. ft. room and circulate clean air. The Mi Air Purifier 2 comes with a single button with 3 modes of operation. There are 3 LED’s on the front top, indicating the mode the user has selected.
Mi Air Purifier 2 is compact, got a simplistic look and is almost silent. There is a 360 degrees cylindrical filer that actually does the cleaning part. The filter removes particles layer by layer, including PM2.5, PM0.3~0.5 and Pollen. Apart from that the filter also helps eliminate odour.
There is built in WiFi that you can use to connect with your smartphone and control it, what’s more you can also control the purifier remotely. Other features are low power consumption – 4.8W, temperature and humidity sensors, particle sensor, air quality indicator (detects air quality) and filter change alerts.
The Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2 Air filter would need replacement after 6 months, it’s easy, all you need to do is remove the filter and replace it with a new one. A new filter will cost Rs. 2,499.
