As expected Meizu MX5 was launched in China today, starting from 1799 RMB. This handset is powered by Helio X10 octa core processor and running Flyme 4.5 with 3GB RAM. The MX5 will initially be available in China starting from 5th July 2015.

Meizu MX5 is a dual SIM handset with 4G LTE support – both nano SIM slots support 4G (this is not a hybrid SIM slot). It comes in a full Metal Aero Aluminum body with a weight of 149 grams with battery. The handset is 7.6mm thick.

MX5 is powered by MediaTek Helio X10 64 bit octa core processor (MT6795T) clocked at 2.2GHz with PowerVR G6200 GPU. It’s using a Super AMOLED screen of size 5.5 inches supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels and the screen also comes with corning gorilla glass 3 protection.

This smartphone is running Flyme 4.5 based on Android 5.0 with 3GB RAM, optional 16GB / 32GB / 64 GB storage space options. A 20.7MP laser auto focus camera is packed on the rear with dual tone LED flash using SONY IMX220 EXMOR RS BSI sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a front camera of 5MP resolution also with f/2.0 aperture. The handset can play and shoot 4K videos.

Meizu MX5 launched in China starting from 1799 RMB

Key features are 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.1. MX5 houses a 3150 mAh battery with latest mCharge technology that can charge the battery up to 50% in just about 30 minutes.

The MX5 will be available in Gold, Silver and Grey colour options for 1799 RMB (16GB) [Rs. 18460], 1999 RMB (32GB) [Rs. 20512]  and 2399 RMB (64GB) [Rs. 24,617]. This handset will also be launched in India pretty soon.
