Meizu launched another budget friendly handset in the Chinese markets, presenting the Meizu A5 that is using the MediaTek 6737 SOC, comes with 2GB RAM, houses a 3060 mAh battery and its price in China is RMB 699 approx Rs. 6,600.

If you look at the Meizu brand all of their smartphones are using the MediaTek chipset, but soon probably in Q3 2017 Meizu will start using Snapdragon chipset and at that time let us see what they price their handset at.

This Meizu A5 is a quad core handset using MediaTek quad core processor. Screen is of size 5 inches with a 720p resolution. FlymeOS 6 over Android Marshmallow runs the show with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM (internal storage), with external micro SD card support.

The rear camera is 8MP AF with a f/2.0 aperture and front camera is of 5MP resolution. There is no finger print sensor on this handset. A 3060 mAh battery powers this handset. Meizu A5 price in China is RMB 699 that comes to approx Rs. 6,600.

Ever since Meizu had entered the Indian markets they are not that active in India, it has been a long time since they launched a new handset. Once they start using the Snapdragon chipset it will turn out to be a game changer for them provided they keep the price right.
