At India Mobile Congress 2017 (IMC 2017) MediaTek unveiled their latest SoC the MediaTek MT6739 that will primarily be used on entry level to mid level smartphones. Key highlight about the MediaTek MT6739 is the dual VoLTE support.

This dual VoLTE support means that you will be able to use two reliance Jio SIM’s together. Now almost all handsets that are as of now available in India support VoLTE on single SIM, in fact it’s 4G on single SIM, the other SIM by default becomes 3G/2G.  With MT6739 you will be able to use 4G / VoLTE on both SIM’s, together.

MediaTek MT6739 features

It supports CPU clocking up to 1.5GHz, this is 64 Bit quad core chipset using GE8100 PowerVR GPU. This SoC supports up to 3GB RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. It can play 1080p videos at 30 fps with ease and can also record in 1080p at 30fps.

MediaTek MT6739 chipset with dual VoLTE support

Max camera image processing is 13MP and there is also support for native dual camera. MediaTek MT6739 supports up to HD+ resolution that is 1440 x 720 pixels. Other features are Carrier Aggregation, Cat 4 download, Cat 5 upload, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2.

We may see devices powered by MediaTek MT6739 by end of 2017.
