It seems Lenovo has rolled out Lollipop update on the Lenovo A6000 Plus handset. This handset was initially running Android KitKat 4.4. This is an over the air update and some users have already confirmed the update of size of just over 1GB.

Interestingly Lenovo also revealed the A6010 handset at IFA that is also packed with the same hardware as seen on the A6000 Plus, it (A6010) is running Lollipop and comes with 13MP rear camera. Now with A6000 Plus getting Lollipop update, I doubt if they will launch the A6010 handset in India.

If you are using the Lenovo A6000 Plus handset you might have got the update notification or you can manually check that from setting, about – system updates. The file size is just over 1GB so better use a good network (preferably Wi-Fi) to download this update.

It is better to backup your data but for this update it is not really required, your data / apps will be intact. However make sure the battery level is over 75%.

If you have updated lets us know how it went and if you are facing any issues.
