Another L Series smartphone from LG electronics will soon hit the stores in India. The LG Optimus L9 what it is called will sail on a dual core processor, with 5MP camera and a bigger screen at 4.7 inches.

The LG Optimus L9 price details are not yet disclosed but I believe it should be well under Rs. 23,000 – looking at the specifications. The main highlight is the dual core processing power, the IPS display of size 4.7 inches and a bigger battery of 2150mAh.

The battery type used on this phone is SiO+ read as 2150 mAh SiO+. This is an improved version of the traditional Li-ion battery wherein manufacturers can get higher capacity while maintaining the same battery size.  In other words it is like stuffing 2150 mAh into a 1600 mAh battery size. This also helps improve battery life as you are now getting more capacity from the same limited battery size.

Other features included on the LG Optimus L9 are 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB and GPS. The handset weighs around 125 grams with 9.1mm thickness. The L9 runs on ICS with Optimus User Interface 3.0.

The launch date and the price are currently unknown. The expected price is under Rs. 23,000. Also check out LG Optimus L3, Optimus L5 and Optimus L7.
