LG rolled out a quad core handset the Lucid 3 in the US with and without contract via Verizon Wireless. The handset price without contract is approx $300. This single SIM handset comes with decent features with 4G support.

The LG Lucid 3 is powered by 1.2GHz quad core processor with LTE (4G) support. It runs on the latest android KitKat 4.4 OS with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage along with 64GB micro SD card support. The screen is less than 5 inches, 4.7 inch to be precise, it’s IPS with Slim Bezel and with corning gorilla glass 3 protection. Screen resolution is 960 x 540 pixels (qHD).

Also included is a 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash on the rear and VGA camera on the front with video call support. Full HD video recording and playback is supported. Key features are 4G, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi.

The LG Lucid 3 also come packed with Knock on technology that can wake up the phone by simply double tapping the screen without using the power / lock button and Knock Code that supports 2 to 8 tapping pattern security.

This handset comes with a battery of 2440 mAh capacity with up to 12 hours of talk time. Not sure when this handset will be made available in India.
