Lenovo has launched the Vibe X2 in India. It is the world’s first layered smartphone and will be available exclusively on Flipkart for Rs. 19,999. It is a dual SIM handset with 4G LTE support.

It’s Layered designed – there are there 3 gradient layers (as seen in the image below). The handset looks unique and is eye catchy. It supports dual SIM (nano + micro) and runs KitKat 4.4.x with Vibe 2.0 UI. The Lenovo Vibe X2 is powered by octa core processor clocked at 2GHz. It is with the MediaTek MT6595M chipset with PowerVR G6200 GPU.

The IPS LCD touch screen is 5 inches supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Vibe X2 is light weight at 120 grams and is 7.3mm thick. There is 2GB on-board RAM and 32GB internal storage space. There is no micro SD card slot.

The X2 comes with 13MP rear AF camera with flash and a 5MP on the front. Rear camera can shoot FHD videos at 30fps. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. There is a non-removable battery of 2300 mAh capacity with talk time of up to 19 hours. It will be competing with the Huawei Honor 6 smartphone that is also selling for the same price.
