Lenovo company will be launching a new smartphone on 7th April 2015, they have already sent out invites for the event. Most likely it could be the Lenovo A7000 that was already showcased at the MWC event.

The Lenovo A7000 will be an upgraded version of Lenovo A6000 that is currently a hot selling smartphone in India. The A7000 if priced right could also turn out to be a big hit. Inside the hood the A7000 will be using the MediaTek MT6752M octa core processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with Mali T760 GPU.

This dual SIM handset with 4G support will be running Android 5.0 with VIBE UI out of the box over a 5.5 inch IPS screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Weight with battery is 140 grams and handset is 7.9mm thick. There is 2GB onboard RAM, 8GB storage and micro SD support.

A7000 also comes with 8MP auto focus camera packed on the rear with LED flash and a 5MP camera on the front. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS, 1x speaker, Dolby Atmos and Bluetooth 4. A 2900 mAh battery powers up the handset with up to 16 hours of talk time on 3G networks.

Lenovo A7000 was unveiled at MWC with a price tag of $169. It would be interesting to see what they price it in India, it could under Rs. 11,000.
