Lava Xolo X500 is an android handset powered by a low cost Intel Lexington chipset for under Rs. 9,000. This is a dual SIM handset with a 3.5 inch screen powered by 1.2GHz hyper threading Intel processor.

The Xolo X900 was the first Intel inside handset launched by lava. Lava also recently launched the Lava Xolo A500 not to be confused with this handset. The Intel inside models start with the letter X, like the X900 and this one the X500.

You can check out the NDTV website for the images. The Xolo X500 will runs on the ICS Android 4.0 OS with 512MB RAM. The display resolution is not that impressive at 480×320 pixels. There is 4GB internal storage and 5MP rear camera.

The price does seem high when you look at the 3.5 inch screen and 480×320 pixel resolution but then it’s with Intel inside, if that would make a difference. The Intel Atom Lexington single core Z2420 chip was showcased at the recent CES (Consumer Electronic Show) and we were expecting the launch in India.
