We knew that Lava Mobiles were coming up with the Lava Iris 502 and now finally it is listed on Saholic without much attention. The handset is priced at Rs. 8499 and probably it may not be as powerful as we expecting it to be.

The Lava Iris 501 is a good handset as good as the Micromax A110 and we were expecting much more from the Iris 502. However, the specs mentioned on the Saholic site are not that impressive. The handset is also listed on Flipkart without any price tag.

The lava Iris 502 comes powered by 1GHz processor we are not sure if it’s dual core or single core, but the 501 came with dual core processor and 502 is cheaper than the dual core version which means it will be a single core processor.

The screen is 5 inches with WVGA resolution (800×480 pixels) with 16M colours. The camera is trimmed down to a 5 megapixels placed on the rear side with LED flash along with a front facing VGA camera.

The handset is 10.2mm thick and supports dual SIM with dual Standby mode. The Iris 502 runs on the Android jelly bean OS 4.1. The RAM is a modest 512MB with 4G internal storage of which 2GB is available. Other features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm jack and micro USB port.
