Another low cost android smartphone the Lava Iris 444 is listed and available on Flipkart for Rs. 3,199. This KitKat powered smartphone come with dual SIM slots with dual standby mode, but unfortunately only 2G networks are supported.

The Lava Iris 444 is not a 3G smartphone but you can use the GPRS / EDGE networks. This handset sports a 4 inch TFT multi touch capacitive screen with WVGA resolution – 800 x 480 pixels. Iris 444 weight with battery is 116 grams and it is about 11mm thick.

This Lava smartphone is running Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box with 512MB ROM (internal storage) and 256MB RAM. There is micro SD card slot that supports up to 32GB external storage cards. This handset houses a 1GHz Cortex A7 single core processor (chipset unknown) coupled with Mali 400 GPU.

There are dual cameras – 0.3 megapixel (VGA) camera on the front and 2MP fixed focus camera on the rear with LED flash. Iris 444 comes packed with single accelerometer sensor and other features are 2G (EDGE/GPRS), Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. GPS could be missing (not confirmed).

1400 mAh Li-ion battery that powers up the 444, as per the company gives talk time of up to 12 hours. Lava Iris 444 is now available on Flipkart for Rs. 3,199.
