Lava Mobiles have listed two new handsets the Lava Iris 300 style and the Lava iris 3G 412 on their website. Though the pricing details have not yet been revealed, looking at the specifications these handsets could be price well under Rs. 5,000.
The Lava 3G 412 is powered by 1GHz dual core processor. It is a dual SIM handset that runs on Android 4.2 with minimal RAM of 512MB and even the internal storage is 512MB. The user available space is 92MB. Up to 32GB external micro SD cards are supported.
The 412 comes with a 4 inch screen with WVGA resolution (800 x 480 pixels) with 262K colours. Handset weight is 120 grams and is 11.7mm thick. It also comes with 2MP rear camera with flash and VGA front camera.
Key features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The battery is 1500 mAh that gives up to 9 hours of talk time.
Lava Iris 300 Style is also powered by a dual core processor clocked at 1GHz. This dual SIM handset comes with 512MB ROM and 256MB RAM, available user space is 125MB. As compared with the 412 the 300 is with just 256MB RAM.
Screen is 3.5 inches with 480 x 320 pixels resolution (262K colours). Weight is 100 grams and handset is 13.3mm thick. It is a dual SIM handset that also includes a 2MP rear camera (fixed focus) without flash and a front camera of 0.3MP resolution.
Key features are 2G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. There is no built in GPS. The 1400 mAh Li-on battery gives talk time of up to 13 hours. The handset price will be under Rs. 5000 and the Iris 300 style will be the cheapest.
Lava Mobiles has already launched the Lava Iris X1 that is doing really well, available for under Rs. 8,000.
