The latest tweet from Motorola Support has mentioned that the company is rolling out Android 4.4.4 KitKat update initially for the Moto E devices followed by Moto G and Moto X. The update will happen in a phased manner and you might not see it immediately.

Motorola has specifically mentioned that the update will be rolled out first on the Moto E handset in India and then it will be provided on the Moto G and the Moto X devices. Immediately after the tweet many Moto E users tried updating and have confirmed that they have not yet received the update. As already mentioned the update will happen in a phased manner so if you don’t see it now try after few hours or days.

The Android KitKat 4.4.4 update on the Moto Devices, I believe will not bring about a huge change in the features and specially the UI. It could improve the performance, stability and battery backup. Motorola were to provide the KitKat 4.4.3 update instead they have directly moved on to 4.4.4.

The Android update will happen over the air, there is nothing you need to do, most likely you will get a notification of the update or you can try checking the software update option in settings.
