Kingston today at Computex, announced MobileLite G2 a second generation wireless media streamer. This device can act as a reader, connect with portable devices like tablets and smartphones, can share data using Wi-Fi (with 3 devices simultaneously) and can also charge the smartphones.

The Kingston MobileLite G2 is kind of a portable card reader that can be accessed wirelessly. You can connect a flash drive or a USB drive on the MobileLite G2 and access the storage from any portable devices. Say if you have less storage space you can transfer the data to UBS drive or Flash card attached to the G2.

With this device users will also be able to stream data (for example movie / photos) from flash cards / USB drives on to 3 different devices simultaneously and can also send to Social Media platform without the need to connect to a PC.

The Kingston G2 comes with a non-removable 4640 mAh battery that can be used as a power bank to charge other devices (like the smartphones). What’s more there is built in Wi-Fi , a Ethernet port – you can connect your wired network and share it wirelessly or you can even connect a 3G dongle.

In general the MobileLite G2 can be used a shared network drive or as a portable router or as power bank. Device weight is 171 grams and battery backup is up to 13 hours of continuous usage. The price has not yet been revealed.

Kingston the leader in memory products had also unveiled Furry SSD, headset, Impact So-DIMM’s and mouse pad.
