Karbonn has launched a quad core powered handset for just Rs. 5,749. The Karbonn Titanium S1 Plus is powered by quad core processor running on Android 4.3 and the price is just too tempting.

When it comes to low budget handsets consumers has limited options, between dual core and single cores, but slowly and steadily the quad cores will soon overtake the dual cores (in terms of pricing). The S1 Plus houses a quad core chipset clocked at 1.2GHz (chipset unknown).

Karbonn has managed to get the Android 4.3 onto the Titanium S1 Plus. This handset comes with 1GB RAM and 4GB storage + micro SD card support of up to 32GB. The TFT LCD screen is 4 inches with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. There are light, accelerometer and proximity sensors.

This dual SIM handset comes with dual cameras. There is a VGA camera on the front and 5MP on the rear with LED flash. Key highlights are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi (b/g/n), GPS with A-GPS and Bluetooth. The 1500 mAh battery that the S1 Plus comes with gives a talktime of up to 4 hours.

I think it will come with the same hardware as seen on Titanium S1 – Qualcomm Snapdragon quad core processor (MSM8625) with Adreno 203 GPU, some of the specification are downgraded. Karbonn Titanium S1 Plus is listed online for a price tag of Rs. 5,749.
