Karbonn Mobiles are planning to launch an upgraded version of Smart Tab called Karbonn Smart Tab 4 that will sport a 9.7 inch screen powered by 1.5GHz processor and running on the latest Android Jelly Bean OS or Android 4.1. All this for a price of Rs. 11,000.
Karbonn is planning to launch several new handsets in August, including the Karbonn Smart Tab 4. Affordability will be the key factor and they have already disclosed the price tag at Rs. 11,000. There will be two versions of Tab 4, with and without build in 3G. The built in 3G version will be released on a later date probably in September.
The capacitive touchscreen display of 9.7 inches will feature the Gorilla Glass screen that we usually find on high end mobiles and tablets. A 1.5 GHz processor will ensure smoother performance. This is all the info that is unveiled by Karbonn.
I believe the 9.7 inch tablet will come with at least 1024×600 pixels resolution, a front camera and probably a rear camera. Other features you can expect are Wi-Fi, USB and 3.5 mm Audio port.
The tab could probably come with minimum 512MB or 1GB memory, a 4GB internal memory or higher could also be included. The Karbonn Smart Tab 4 with built in 3G would be what most users will be looking for. So let’s wait and watch.
