For now the Micromax A50 looks like the best low cost dual SIM android phone available in the Indian market, but not for long. Karbonn will soon launch the Karbonn A7 and the Karbonn A9, both dual SIM phones running on gingerbread OS.

Specifications and price wise these are better than the Micromax Ninja, but it is just a matter of time, if these phones are released soon it could impact the Micromax A50 sales, but if these handsets are released after a month or so, it will be an advantage for Micromax, they may even reduce the price.

Well let’s have a look at what the Karbonn A7 and the A9 will be offering.

Karbonn A7 Features

This phone supports dual SIM and is powered by a 1 GHz processor with android 2.3 OS. The features are a 2.8 inch capacitive touchscreen display with multi touch support, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, MicroSD card supported and Bluetooth.

The A7 will come with a 1420 mAh battery and the expected price is around Rs. 5,500.

Karbonn A9 and Karbonn A7 coming soon

Karbonn A9 Features

This android 2.3 loaded dual SIM phone too comes with a 1 GHz processor and with a bigger screen at 3.8 inches. The touchscreen is using capacitive technology with multi touch. Other features are Bluetooth and a 5 MP camera with flash.

The A9 comes with 1600 mAh battery and expected to be priced at around Rs. 9,000.

This is all we know for now, but I think these smartphones will also come with microUSB port, will support 3G, FM radio and with a built in GPS.  More on these phones when they are released, the 5 MP surely is the biggest attraction.
