Karbonn has silently launched the Karbonn A2 a single core dual SIM handset running on Android 2.3.6 with 256MB RAM, priced at Rs. 4,990. The Karbonn Smart A2 is listed on Flipkart.

A2 is a low cost phone running an outdated OS sporting a 4 inch touchscreen with 3Mp rear camera and a front VGA camera. The handset does not support 3G and only works with EDGE / GPRS networks.

Not much difference between the Karbonn A1+ and this Karbonn A2 except for the screen size, battery mAh and probably the screen resolution which is not confirmed yet. There is no built in GPS.

The Smart A2 comes with 256MB RAM and internal storage of 202 MB with micro SD card support. Other features included are Wi-Fi, 2G, micro USB and 3.5mm jack. The handset comes with G-Sensor and Proximity Sensor.

A 1750 mAh battery gives a talktime of about 4 hours and over 200 hours of standby time. This handset is good for basic usage and somewhat net surfing, Facebook, twitter updates, if you are a power user avoid this phone.

Karbonn A2 review
It would be better if you can go with the Karbonn A15 by spending some extra money.
