MG Motor India, a British automobile brand with a 99-year-old legacy, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Jio Platforms, India’s leading digital services provider. This collaboration will bring a broad range of connected car features, including Hinglish Voice Assistant-enabled experiences, to MG Motor India’s newly launched Comet EV—The Smart Electric Vehicle.

Jio Platforms, India’s largest integrated digital service provider, offers next-generation automotive solutions designed to deliver an array of experiences. MG Comet EV customers will benefit from Jio’s innovative assets such as India’s first-ever Hinglish Voice Assistant system integrated with music apps, payment apps, connectivity platforms, and hardware.

The embedded Hello Jio Voice Assistant has been trained to understand native Indian speakers with different regional dialects and tonality. Hello Jio provides the best in-car voice assistant for Indian users, offering information about cricket, weather, news, horoscopes, and more. Users can control their vehicle’s features through simple voice commands, such as turning the AC on or off or playing songs directly.

MG Comet EV also comes integrated with Jio’s state-of-the-art eSIM, which plays a crucial role in improving vehicle safety. The eSIM is integrated during the manufacturing process, identifying the vehicle and encrypting communications while the vehicle is in operation.
