Prices of iPad are dropping and many shopping malls and dealers are offering the iPad at a lower cost, all these an indication that the iPad 2 will be in the Indian markets pretty soon. Though there is no official confirmation as to when the iPad 2 will hit the Indian markets, rumours suggest that it may happen by end of April or in May 2011.
iPad 2 features
The iPad 2 will have an upgraded processor called the Apple A5 with is two times faster than the A4. The A5 Processors houses dual core architecture which consumes same low power as the A4. This is also the first dual core tablet. Moreover there is a lot of improvement with regards to graphics which in an iPad 2 will be 9x times faster.
When the iPad was first launched there was one thing that many wished for, a camera. The iPad 2 comes with not one but two cameras (front and rear). With this FaceTime on iPad 2 gets really interesting. iPad’s 2 front camera is VGA and the rear camera is just 0.7 megapixel, well that’s disappointing. The iPad 2 can last for a month on standby mode and up to 10 hours of continuous usage. iPad’s 2 display resolution is 1024×768 at 132ppi. iPad 2 houses a 9.7 inch LED display with multi touch features.
The iPad 2 comes loaded with the iOS 4.3 the most advanced mobile operating system. Overall the new iPad is highly stable, responsive and secure. Furthermore the Apple app Store opens the door to about 65K amazing apps that are specially created for the iPad.

With the iPad 2 3G version you can receive and even make a call. But this might look stupid without a Bluetooth.
Price of Apple iPad 2 in India
The actual price is not officially known. But in the US the iPad 2 is selling for $499. The price of Apple iPad 2 in India will start from approximately Rs. 30,000 for the lowest model.
