Intex today lunched the Cloud FX a dual SIM handset running the Firefox OS. It is a different approach from the traditional Android and Windows OS. The handset is priced at Rs. 1,999. At this price tag the Could FX is actually competing with the feature phones.

The Intex Cloud FX houses a 1GHz processor. The chipset is not yet disclosed but most likely it could be a single core. This handset runs on the Firefox OS with 128MB RAM and internal storage space of 46MB. There is external card support of up to 4GB. If you look at the RAM and storage it is just too low but hey, it’s running Firefox OS and just look at the price.

Cloud FX is light weight at 104 gram and is 11.8mm thick. The screen is 3.5 inches supporting 480 x 320 pixels resolution. There is 2MP rear camera (fixed focus) without LED flash support. There is no front camera.

This handset also doesn’t support 3G but you can use 2G’s EDGE / GPRS networks. Other features that are included are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and FM radio. GPS is missing. The Intex Cloud FX comes with 1250 mAh battery with talk-time of up to 4 hours. It is now available for Rs. 1,999.
