There are some more handsets waiting to hit the Indian markets. The Intex Aqua Flash and Intex Aqua Trendy both dual SIM and dual Core powered with a price tag of Rs. 9,500 and 4,900.

The Intex Aqua flash is a higher model with a 4.3 inch screen sporting an 800×480 pixels resolution with 1GHz dual core processor. The flash handset runs on the ICS OS Android version 4.0 and supports dual SIM with dual standby.

The Aqua flash is powered by mediatek processor same as found on quite a few handsets within the same price range. Other features are 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, micro USB and 3.5mm jack. There is 8MP camera with dual LED and a 1.3MP front camera for video chats. A 2100 mAh battery powers the handset which should easily last for over a day on a full charge. The handset is priced at 9,500.

The Intex Aqua Trendy on the other hand is a low spec handset with dual SIM support and dual core processor with an interesting price of Rs. 4,900. A dual core for under 5K, sounds quite tempting but there are a lot of compromises that you will have to make.

To start with the screen is 3.5 inches with 480×320 pixels resolution – am sure many would want a better resolution. Then there is the outdated OS, the Gingerbread that runs on this dual core. Add to it a 3.2MP camera probably without flash and a 1.3MP camera on the front. If you are already disappointed, well there is more. The Intex Aqua Trendy supports only the 2G network, so you are without 3G. Other features are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro USB and 3.5 mm jack. I think GPS is also missing. A 1400 mAh battery powers the handset.

Intex aqua flash and Intex aqua trendy dual core handsets

In all the Aqua flash does look worthy while the Trendy is totally out of trend expect for the dual core processor.
