Intex has launched Aqua Curve quad core handset with MT6582 chipset clocked at 1.3GHz. This handset got listed on the official website but as of now has been temporarily removed. The pricing details are not yet disclosed.

As mentioned this dual SIM handset houses the MediaTek MT6582 quad core processor with Mali 400 GPU. The screen is 5 inches supporting resolution of 960×540 pixels (qHD). There are many handsets available in the markets that are now using the MT6582 quad core chipset.

The Intex Aqua Curve runs on Android jelly bean 4.2.2 with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage. There is micro SD card support (32GB). The rear auto focus camera is of 8 megapixel resolution (with LED flash) and front camera is of 2MP resolution (fixed focus).

Key features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. The Aqua curve will be available in 3 different colors Red, Black and Blue. Battery is 2000 mAh capacity, that should be more than enough for the given specifications. We are not yet sure about the availability and the official price tag.

The word curve is just an marketing gimmick, nothing to do with the curved glass / screen, it is just the curvy edges, I guess.
